Italian language school in Oxford

Let us introduce ourselves
(alphabetical order by name)

Sara Rognoni
founding member

Emanuela Bonardi
founding member
Her scientific training (a PhD in molecular biology from the University of Pisa) did not prevent her from gaining experience in the education sector: during her stay in the USA, she worked with children aged 0 to 4 as a substitute teacher in a nursery school and, at the same time, at a private language school as an Italian L2 teacher with both adults and preschool children.
Having moved to Oxford, where her two children were born, she combined the skills she learned and organized, with the help of other mothers, Italian Rhyme Time for almost two years, specifically to promote the learning and consolidation of the Italian language and culture in young children in a playful and fun way.
A linguist by training (degree in European Languages and Literatures, Parma; MA Cardiff, Dip.Trans IoL) and a polyglot by passion, Emanuela has taught Italian as a foreign language in university departments (Cardiff, UCDublin, Parma, Oxford), large organizations (EU EFSA; UK Defense Academy) and with bilingual students through consular courses (Stuttgart, London), following the ministerial programs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
She is currently also responsible for offering Italian as a third language in secondary level courses at the Europa School in Culham.
During her more than twenty-year experience, Emanuela has organized and taught courses for adults, adolescents, and children, both as a foreign language and as an ethnic language.

Delfina graduated in Political Science from the University of Turin and, since she was a teenager, she has attended courses and participated in theater workshops throughout her school years, engaging in both laboratory practice and the staging of various shows at the national level.
Her contribution to the Oxford School is her extensive and long experience in theatrical expression, dance and physical expression (yoga, jazz and Afro dance, gymnastics...), as well as her ability to create enthusiasm and capture the interest of all children with many fun activities that are also oriented towards linguistic and personal development.
She has achieved the QTS for English schools and currently teaches full-time at a primary school in Oxford.
