Children will learn to listen andItalian using oral and written activities, reading stories and playing games.

Children will be encouraged to:

• read and/or understand a variety of short texts, from fairy tales, to myths and children's stories;

• participate in the group conversation;

• identify the key element of a texts, such as main characters, place and time;

• write sentences or short paragraphs about their own experiences (usually as homework).
